What is the difference between a user and a recipient?

A User is the person who has has full control over all aspects of the virtual mailbox account, including managing incoming mail and packages, adding recipients, and making decisions on how the mail should be handled (such as scanning, forwarding, shredding, or storing items). The user is also responsible for managing account settings, payment information, and mailbox preferences. The account owner is listed as a User and additional users can also be added.

A recipient is any individual or entity (such as a business) authorized to receive mail under a PostScan Mail account. Each recipient has their name added to the mailbox address, allowing them to receive packages and letters through the same virtual mailbox. However, recipients do not have direct control over the mailbox itself—they cannot log into the account or manage the mail. The primary user of the account handles those responsibilities.
