👥 What Is the Difference Between a User and a Recipient?
Understanding the difference between a User and a Recipient helps you manage your PostScan Mail account effectively.
🧑💼 User
A User is someone who has full administrative access to the PostScan Mail account. This includes:
- Managing incoming mail and packages
- Making requests such as scanning, forwarding, shredding, or storing
- Adding or removing recipients
- Updating account settings and payment information
- Setting up mailbox preferences
The account owner is listed as a primary user, but additional users can also be added as needed.
📬 Recipient
A Recipient is an individual or entity (such as a business) authorized to receive mail through the virtual mailbox. Their name is added to the mailbox address, allowing them to receive mail at that location.
However, recipients:
- Cannot log in to the account
- Do not have control over mail actions
- Rely on the User to handle any requests or changes related to their mail
